Dr. TSUJIMOTO Yasuhiro, Fy Vary Project Leader, paid a courtesy visit to the FAO representative for Madagascar, Comoros, Mauritius and Seychelles, Dr. Mbuli Charles Boliko (former Director of FAO Liaison Office in Japan) on October 14, 2021. They exchanged opinions about the utilization of the results obtained from the SATREPS Fy Vary project and collaboration in the projects under the new Medium to Long-term Plan of JIRCAS. Dr. Boliko also introduced FAO’s efforts to promote hybrid rice with support from China as an example of partnership in South-South cooperation, and expressed his support in JIRCAS efforts to develop rice varieties, produce quality seeds and disseminate them.
