Business Trip to Madagascar–Output 2, JIRCAS Senior Researcher, Papa Saliou SARR

Dr. Papa Saliou SARR, a Senior Researcher at JIRCAS and a member of SATREPS VaryAla Project Output 2, traveled to Madagascar to conduct inoculation experiments using identified nitrogen-fixing bacteria.

At the Centre National de la Recherche sur l’Environnement (CNRE), a pot inoculation experiment on common bean using identified nitrogen-fixing bacteria was initiated, and procedural training was provided to the local counterparts. Subsequently, Antsirabe was visited to determine the sites for the SATREPS Output 2 field trials and to confirm the cooperation from local farmers.
