14th Farmers' Workshop was held on September 10th, 2026.
On September 10, 2026, the 14th Farmers' Workshop was held, with the follow-up on rotation irrigation and the extension and repair of the tertiary irrigation canal as agenda items.
Regarding rotation irrigation, at the 11th and 12th workshops, the project team requested farmers to implement it until the rice flowering period. Currently, as the rice flowering period is nearing its end, the project team reiterated the benefits of intermittent irrigation (AWD), presented the rotation irrigation schedule to the farmers, and requested that they implement rotation irrigation after the flowering period and AWD to the extent possible.
Regarding the extension of the tertiary irrigation canal, the leader of Farmer Water User Sub-community (FWUSC) proposed extending it to the drainage canal. Two extension routes were proposed and discussed, but no conclusion was reached, and further adjustments will be made. Meanwhile, regarding the sections where the canal walls had been eroded by water flow after the pump installation, everyone agreed to cooperate in repairs, which were carried out immediately after the workshop. For the repair work, materials such as crushed stone and stone mesh bags were provided by the project team, but all the work was carried out by farmers, and it was completed as shown in the photos.
