Telemetry equipment has been installed

From February 23rd to 27th, 2026, telemetry facilities necessary for hydrological observation were installed in the Pursat River basin.

The project team confirmed the installation plan for the telemetry equipment through preliminary meetings with the Cambodian Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology (MOWRAM) and the Provincial Department of Water Resources and Meteorology (PDWRAM) in Pursat Province. Rain gauge was installed in Anlong Reab, in the upper reaches of the Pursat River, and river level gauges were installed in Damnak Chhue Krom and Damnack Ampil, located in the middle and lower reaches of the river. Rainfall and water level data are stored in the cloud and can be viewed on PCs and smartphones.

With the establishment of a system for continuous acquisition of hydrological observation data in the field, future hydrological and water management research will accelerate.
