From March 9th to 12th, 2026, check gates and intake gates were installed in the tertiary channel at the project site. Based on water level data from the paddy fields and channels collected from the previously installed water level monitoring system, the gates, along with the electric pumps to be installed in the future, will be operated remotely or automatically to carry out intermittent irrigation. (Manual operation is also possible.)

Despite the intense heat of the dry season, the installation was completed as planned. Thanks to the energetic work of researchers traveled from Japan, our Cambodian counterparts, and project staff, as well as the cooperation of local farmers and workers.
