Manual for analyzing the genetic variability of fishes of economic importance in Southeast Asia

Country
Thailand

Description

[Synopsis]

A manual on isozymic, analysis was prepared in order to analyze the genetic variability of important fishes in Southeast Asia. By using this manual, the genetic differentiation among local populations of catfish was analyzed. The results showed that the local populations of catfish display genetic differences and are important genetic resources. It was also observed that the analysis of genetic variability enables the efficient selection of breeding methods.
