Morphological Traits: Tree height

How tall is a mango tree?

The mango is an "evergreen" tree with green leaves throughout the year. The mango tree usually grows tall to a height of about 8-10m (see photo), with some trees sometimes grow even much taller. In commercial orchards in Thailand and other countries, the trees are pruned to a height of about 2 to 3m in order to facilitate operations such as bagging and harvesting (photo). In Japan, the trees are usually grown in greenhouses to protect them from rain and to keep them warm, so they are often pruned to a very low height of 1 to 1.5m (photo).
