The plants are soft, slightly calcified, ramiform and pinkish in color. The branches are alternating or pinnate in each direction. This seaweed is similar to Trichogloea sp.1, except more lubricious. This species grows on rocks in lower intertidal zones along moderately wave exposed shorelines.
