This species spreads horizontally and forms loose clumps. The branches are strap-shaped, narrow, 1-2 mm wide, dichotomously branched, smooth at the margins and have slightly acute apical portions. This species is greenish brown with slight fluorescence and grows on rocks in subtidal zones along moderately wave exposed shorelines.
