Cylindrical and irregularly forked branches of this species creep on the substrates, and attach to each other at any point of contact. The utricles are club-shaped with rounded tips, approximately 0.1-0.2 mm in diameter and slightly constricted at the upper portions. The plants are spongy, dark green, and are found on rocks or dead coral in subtidal zones along moderately wave exposed shorelines.
