This plant consists of dark green filaments with dichotomous or trichotomous branching. Cells are cylindrical, and 150-200 µm in length and 30-40 µm in width. The terminal portions of branches and branchlets are round. These plants grow on rocks in subtidal zones along moderately wave exposed shorelines.
