The erect branchlets of this plant are linear-shaped with serrations on the edge, flat at the upper portions and branch off the stem in a forked manner. This seaweed is dull green in color, grows on shady rocks, gravel and dead coral in subtidal zones along shorelines with frequent gentle currents.
