Aside from its use in soups, Pyropia is also used in "seaweed noodles" in Thailand. The dish originated in Yaowarat Market, according to the owner of the noodle shop who adapted it to suit the palate of the local people and opened the restaurant 15 years ago. Dried Pyropia is grilled to enhance the aroma and then added to the noodle dish. The majority of clientele are Chinese, and the price of Pyropia noodle is 40 Baht per serve.
