We saw quite a number of Caulerpa racemosa var. corynephora, "SAI" ,being sold at fresh markets during the month of March to May in provinces along the Andaman coast, especially Satun, Trang, Krabi and Phuket. It is sold alongside local produce by vegetable vendors. It costs approximately 80-100 Baht per kg; depending on supply. The vendors sell it by weight to customer order, or wrap it in plastic bags or banana leaves. It is commonly eaten as a fresh vegetable or soft-boiled in side dishes with chili pasted sauce.
