The northernmost dam of Ishigaki Island. It supplies agricultural water to the northern part of Ishigaki Island, and its water supply channel reaches the northernmost Hirano area. A water channel from the Futamata water reservoir (a large water storage tank visible from the airport) to this dam is under planning.
