"Maki-ishi" (Whirling pattern stone) on Ibaruma-beach

The stone is also called "Heart Rock" because the upper part of the whirling pattern is necked down and is shaped like a heart. Perhaps because of its appearance, it is also expected to be a power spot. But we will leave it to you to find out its mysterious power. "Tsunami Stones on the East Coast of Ishigaki Island" is the collective name for five huge stones ("Tsunami-oishi", "Takakoruse-ishi", "Amatariyasuuare", "Yasuraufukane", and "Bari-ishi") on the east side of Ishigaki Island that were washed up or moved by the 1771 Meiwa Tsunami. They were designated as a national natural treasure in 2013. "Maki-ishi" on the east coast of Ibaruma is thought to be one of the tsunami stones.
