Let’s enjoy the scenery around Ishigaki Island through 360-degree photos!(02)Tarama Ricefield Ruins

Tarama Ricefield Ruins

The people of Tarama Island commuted across the sea to go to Hirakubo on Ishigaki Island to cultivate rice. Since this ricefield site is mentioned as a folklore in the "Miyako Island Articles" compiled in 1752, it is assumed that the time of rice cultivation goes back even further.

Note: There are signboards with arrows on the roadside, but it is not easy to reach the ruins from there, and cell phone reception is rather weak, so a map application that can be used offline is recommended when visiting this area.
