Dr. Yukio Okuda receives the JSIRDE Best Paper Award 2018
The paper of Dr. Yukio Okuda entitled “Problems and Measures for the Adoption of Cut-drain and Its Applicability to Soil Conditions in Uzbekistan” published in the Journal of the Japanese Society of Irrigation, Drainage and Rural Engineering was awarded as 2018 JSIDRE Best Paper.
Vice-Minister of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of the People's Republic of China visits JIRCAS
The Vice-Minister of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of the People's Republic of China, Mr. Qu Dongyu, visited JIRCAS on August 29, 2018 in conjunction with his participation to the regular Japan-China dialogue between the ministers in-charge of agriculture.
JIRCAS implements open data access on the official website
The JIRCAS has started to implement the open data access policy which makes information on the official website available for download in CSV and JSON-LD format.
JIRCAS scientists receive citation as “Highly Cited Researchers” for 4 consecutive years
Dr. Yasunari Fujita and Dr. Kyonoshin Maruyama, senior researchers in the Biological Resources and Post-harvest Division, were named to the global “Highly Cited Researchers 2017” list in the Plant and Animal Science category.
Visit of Gunma Prefectural Maebashi Girls’ Senior High School
A delegation from Gunma Prefectural Maebashi Girls’ Senior High School including 38 students and teachers visited JIRCAS on August 10, 2018 and participated in the “Tsukuba Science Tour” biology course.
Visit of Niigata Prefectural Nagaoka High School students
A group of 38 second-year senior high school students in the science-mathematics curriculum of the Niigata Prefectural Nagaoka High School, a Super Science High School (SSH), visited JIRCAS on August 7, 2018.
