Research needs for improvement of no-tillage cultivation of soybean in South America
Description
[Synopsis]
Problems involved in rapid extension of no-tillage cultivation of soybean in South America were analyzed and directions for technological improvements of the method are suggested. Future research and development efforts should focus on the improvement of physical and chemical properties of subsoil as well as the effective control of soil-born diseases and weeds which leads to reduced dosages of fungicides and herbicides.
