On December 23, 2021, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF), Japan announced the selection of the “10 Major Advancements in Agricultural Technology” for 2021.
Among them, "BNI-enabled Wheat Development: Maintaining yield even with reduced nitrogen fertilizer" was selected as TOPIC No. 7.
The “10 Major Advancements in Agricultural Technology” is a list of the top 10 research achievements in agriculture, forestry, and fisheries from Japan that have appeared in newspapers over the year. The winners were selected through a voting process by the members of “the Agricultural Technology Club”, consisting of journalists related to agriculture.
