Senior Researcher Koide Junji Receives 18th Young Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Researcher Award for 2022

JIRCAS Senior Researcher, Dr. Koide Junji of the Social Sciences Division, received the Young Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Researcher Award for 2022 for his work on development of a versatile agricultural management planning model for small-scale farmers.

Former JIRCAS Fellow Du Zhumei Receives the 2022 Japanese Society of Animal Science Encouragement Award

Dr. Du Zhumei, a JIRCAS Fellow in FY2019-2020 from China Agricultural University and now a faculty member of Yangzhou University, received the 2022 Japanese Society of Animal Science Encouragement Award at the 130th annual meeting held at Tokyo University of Agriculture on September 14-17, 2022.

Dr. Nakagawa Wins Best Poster Presentation Award at the 253rd Annual Meeting of the Crop Science Society of Japan

Dr. NAKAGAWA Andressa, Researcher in the Crop, Livestock and Environment Division, received the Best Presentation Award (Poster) at the 253rd Annual Meeting of the Crop Science Society of Japan, held online on March 27-28, 2022.

Publication of “Silage and Fermented TMR - Preparation Manual” for the tropical and subtropical regions with dry season

JIRCAS has published a manual for preparation of silage and fermented TMR based on the results of livestock research in the “Food Security in Africa”project in southern Mozambique.
The manual provides reference information that can help local researchers and farmers understand and utilize agricultural by-product resources as livestock feed. 

JIRCAS Social Science Researcher Receives FMSJ Best Paper Award

Dr. Junji Koide, Researcher of the Social Sciences Division received the ‘Best Paper Award’ from the Farm Management Society of Japan (FMSJ) in a ceremony held on September 7, 2019 in conjunction with the Annual Meeting of the Farm Management Society of Japan held in Sendai, Miyagi Pref.
