A delegation from the Department of Agricultural Extension (DOAE), Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives of Thailand, including the Director of Farmers Development Division, Ms. Panee Boonyaguakul, visited JIRCAS on September 6, 2019. Thailand is one of the countries where JIRCAS has been conducting extensive research for many years, and the DOAE plays an important role in transferring agricultural technologies to local farmers.

During the meeting, the research on reduction of greenhouse gas emission from the livestock sector was introduced as an example of the research activities of JIRCAS in Thailand. In addition, there were exchange of views and information on how to promote the use of Information Technology (IT) by farmers, which is a main concern of DOAE.
