The Deputy Minister of Science and Technology of Vietnam, Mr. Tran Viet Thanh and 4 others visited JIRCAS on May 29, 2015 for an overview of the research activities at JIRCAS and discussions with researchers.

An overview of the overall research activities of JIRCAS as well as specific activities on greenhouse gas emission control through agricultural activities in the Mekong Delta and research on traditional Asian foods were introduced by JIRCAS researchers and staff. The Vietnamese delegation also had a brief tour of the biotechnology research facilities and shrimp farming research facilities.
